1st of July this year the New South Wales Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority came into force. The new authority will allow a range of provisions dealing with administration and other matters to be consolidated in one place.  The Authority has promised to administer a more transparent administrative system, while providing for more expansive enforcement powers in the hands of the Director.

As the NSW Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority get into full swing the conference will examine the key features of the new law; the role of the regulator; licensing of gaming machines under the new regulatory body and examining whether a healthy industry can co-exist with adequate player protection.
